Prof. Hao Zhang founded and is directing the outreach and education program named PROGRESS (i.e., Program for Robotics Outreach on Gender and Racial Equity in School and Society) to provide laboratory tours, robot demonstrations, presentations, workshops, and summer camps to K-12 students and teachers as well as to educate the general public. The overarching mission of PROGRESS is to promote the HCRobotics Lab's ability to pursue its goals of high quality robotics and CS outreach and education in a way that serves the needs of a diverse and inclusive society.
